Nail Fungus

The other day we had a client come in and have a pedicure. Our nail tech noticed that her nails looked abnormal. We explained that we cannot use our nail polishes on her and that she would have to purchase the polish that she wanted. The customer became a little mad and intolerable. She said, "I have had many pedicures and NONE of them had ever mentioned this before!"
Our nail tech simply said, "this is our policy. We do our best to be as clean and disease free as possible. And this is the difference between our professional place and others."
By the end of the pedicure the client was so happy with our place and our nail tech. She loved her pedicure and our practices at The Waterfront Spa and Salon.

If you may have a nail fungus, look up the uses of Vick's Vapor Rub. It works wonderfully for nail fungus.

Our Emails

We send out weekly emails to everyone at on our client list that signs up. We do this to offer specials to our clients. We know that everyone needs a spa day, but can't always afford to come in as needed. We love to offer our clients great specials as a thank you for your business.

I know some of our clients get annoyed by this or may feel we are desperate for business. I am sorry you feel this way. And I hope I can change your mind on why we send emails.

I also hear all of the time how happy people are when they receive the email. It reminds them to book an appointment or purchase a gift certificate for a loved one. I have also heard that without this couplon I may not be able to afford to come in all of the time to receive my spa/hair services.

We love our clients and are happy to have them and keep them.

Think of the emails as a reward for being such a great person.

If you feel that the emails are annoying please click on the unsubscribe button.

Thank you,
Patrick Stanislawczyk

Nice Clients

I just got off the phone with a wonderful women. She and her husband are coming in for their anniversary. She is booking a facial. She is so nice and friendly. It makes my day when we get nice, understanding customers.
But when they are mean. They are MEAN!!!!
I have never understood why people are mean and hateful. You honestly get no where in life. All you get are people talking about you behind your back that you are a mean and hateful person.

Thank you to all of our wonderfully nice clients. It means so much to us at The Waterfront Spa and Salon.

We know we make mistakes at the spa/salon. We just ask for our clients to be understanding. We try our best to accomodate our clients, but sometimes we screw up.

Thanks,
Patrick Stanislawczyk

Great Gift Ideas

A spa/salon gift certificate is always a great gift to give.  I honestly run into people all over town that tell me, "all I want for Christmas is a gift certificate to the Waterfront Spa and Salon".
This makes me so happy.  They have either visited us before and had a terrific time or a friend has told them about our spa.  Lets face it.  Everyone needs a day of pampering and relaxation.
While thinking about gifts I came up with a wonderful concept.  It is called a "Gift on the Go".
All you have to do is come in pick out a manicure, pedicure, facial, or massage and you receive a beautiful candle, small gift and the gift certificate for that service and it all comes in a beautiful Waterfront Spa and Salon gift box.  It is already wrapped and ready to give as a gift.   We can even get you a card to go along with it.  These "Gifts on the Go" range from $77.00 to $100.00.
The person you purchase it for will think you are the best.
We are trying to make things easier for your gift giving.

Customer Testimonial

Yesterday I received a very nice letter from a client.  You never know what is going to be in the letter.  Be it good or bad I try to take it all in and learn from it.
Here is what the letter stated.
Dear Patrick,
I am writing to commend you on the wonderful job you are doing at the Waterfront Spa/Salon.
I was there today for a massage, facial, pedicure, and haircut (my husband got me a gift certificate) and I was slightly apprehensive because I'd heard how nice the spa was.  I assumed that meant it would be snobby, but I was so wrong!  Your staff is genuine, warm, inviting, and definitely talented.  I've been to several other salon/spas in the area and yours is hands down the classiest.  Any interior can look beautiful, the people at your spa re the reason I will be back.  Tammy, Julie, Anita and Jessica Hill (along with the receptionist) make their customers feel wanted and everyone can enjoy that!  They also speak well of one another which is hard to find, but so refreshing and again, classy.  Thank you so much for a wonderful day.

This letter was the nicest thing this lady could have done for me.  The one thing I want out of our spa is happiness and for you to feel comfortable.  It is also great for all of the staff to see it in writing that all of their hard work pays off and we were able to make at least one person happy on that given day.  Great job to all of our staff at The Waterfront Spa and Salon

Online reservations

Did you know that The Waterfront Spa and Salon is the only spa/salon the area to book online? You are also able to purchase gift certificates online.  If you purchase a gift certificate online you have 3 options.  To print it our yourself, email it to whom you are buying it for, or the spa can mail it out for you.  We also confirm appointments via email.  We started this to make it easier on the client.  However, if you do not use the internet you are still able to call for appointments and receive a phone confirmation.

Spa Packages

Spa packages make up some of the best ways to visit the spa.  Our spa/salon is located in a beautiful boutique hotel, The Waterfront Place Hotel.  I met with two hotel employees to discuss our hotel spa packages.  We have packages in place now, however we want to revamp them.  Our goal is to get more people to the hotel and spa for mini vacations.  A lot of people may not want to travel as far due to gas prices, so why not come to the hotel for a few days and treat yourself like a king or queen.  We can make you feel relaxed and rejuvenated.  The hotel has a state of the art fitness center, pool, whirlpool, terrific martini club, great restaurant and our spa has manicures, pedicures, facials, massage, waxing, and hair care. The hotel is also located on the rails to trails which is a wonderful way to get exercise or just stroll down after your evening dinner. Our spa offers a lot of spa packages that can suit every one's needs.  Check us out at our website www.waterfrontspa.com for a complete list or go to www.waterfrontplacehotel.com for their packages.

Credit Card Reservations

Yes, we take credit card reservations for all appointments.  This is to insure that you have the time you need for your appointments.  The only time we will charge your credit card is if you do not show up or you do not cancel within the correct amount of time.
We also started doing this because an alarming amount of people do not show up for appointments and they do not call to let us know what is going on.  In bigger cities clients know that they have to have a credit card in hand when they make an appointment.  For the most part our patrons are understanding, but sometimes we do get customers who become mad and angry with us.  I have also realized that those clients who become angry with us are the same ones that are usually late for appointments or do not show up for appointments.  We are serious about our clients and we hope that our clients are serious about coming to us.
All in all taking the credit card reservations has been a very positive experience.
Thanks to everyone for understanding.
